The dining experience here is casual and friendly, with limited indoor seating reminiscent of a classic roadside burger stand, complemented by attentive carhop service outside. The relaxed setting is perfect for savoring a comforting meal without pretense, while ample parking ensures convenience for every guest. Though some have noted minor slip-ups with toppings or fries not always reaching peak crispiness, these small imperfections are quickly forgiven in the face of the warm, inviting atmosphere and the unmistakable quality of the core menu.
Longtime patrons like Steven Danby appreciate Dairy-Ette for its consistency and authenticity, enjoying quick service and that heavenly root beer with every visit. It’s more than just fast food — it’s a genuine taste of Dallas history served with a side of genuine hospitality.
Classic Burger spot in East Dallas. Their decor has never changed, and I'm ok with that. We were quickly greeted and served. The homemade rootbeer was heavenly. I will be back again for more rootbeer. Plenty of parking as well..
Great food, been coming here for years, miss Cisco being here though, cool old school burger joint
Hole in the with limited indoor seating and carhops serving outside. Reasonable prices for what they offer. The fries could be a little crispier, but the portion was generous. The burger was above average, but the bun was slightly stale. This was all forgiven when I took a sip of the house made Root Beer. I would stop traffic to take the whole tank home.
Dairy-Ette turned 69 years old today 10/22/2025. Hubby, my son, and I enjoyed a good tasty burger. The only issue i had was, I asked for mayo and received mustard. Hubby requested no onions and still had onions in his burger. It was an easy fix for him and I ate my burger as is. They have a good solid burger made with fresh ingredients. I wasn't a fan of the fries. I recommend you try the root beer float. It was so delicious The root beer float was the highlight of the entire meal for me. We went at an odd hour and luckily we we're able to get booth seating. The dining room is a bit small. The prices are resonable and great customer service. Overall I recommend you go check them out.
Since 1956, the Dairyette has been a Dallas tradition still located on Ferguson Road. If you like Retrô food, that tastes exactly as it did in 1956, you should stop by here. They even brew their own root beer and serve it in a frosted mug. You can’t beat that with a stick!
The corn dog was better than the state fair corn dog!! Delicious burgers and you can get your coke in a frozen mug. Def a cute place with good food
Great food, great atmosphere and service. 1st time visiting after finding a post on social media. Had to get their cold frosty root beer float. Bacon Hamburger was delicious, however, I wish they offered the crinkle fries . Will be back
